Since Christmas 2000, I've held an annual barbecue for the local open source hackers. The sixth took place on 26 December 2005.

The weather was ideal. We had intended to do some multimedia work, but somehow that didn't happen; instead, Daniel O'Connor brought along various hardware projects he's been working on, including a USB interface to a Dallas 1820 thermometer probe:
