These are the flowers we had in the garden in late winter 2012 on 12 August 2012. They're not all overly pretty, but that's not the purpose: the purpose of the photos is to record what was in the garden at the time.
This page shows most, but not all, of the flower photos I took: some were repetitive. They're all there on the photo pages around 12 August.
Comparing to this time last year isn't really fair: those photos were taken 2 weeks later in the season, and the difference is evident.
The Acacias are coming into flower, as are more of the Grevilleas:

The Hebes are also holding on. I'm now relatively sure that they would bloom better with more fertilizer, and I put some on some weeks ago. And the Fuchsias are also hanging on:

|
The “spring” bulbs, mainly Narcissus, have now been flowering for over two months, and there's no sign of them stopping yet:

On the other hand, other bulbs are coming:

And the Hellebores are coming into their own:

The Veltheimia viridifolia should be flowering, but unfortunately a flower spike got broken off before it had fully bloomed:
|
And both Abutilons are flowering. The white one has only been there a few months:

|
The Aloe that first flowered last year is now getting quite a nice spike. Given the number of clusters, I'm not sure why there aren't more:
|
Here are the other photos: I've omitted some that don't seem to be worth it, but they're all in the photo page for 12 August 2012.
